It's that time of year again where I gulp at the idea of talking Royal Mail price increases... this time however, I'm not so nervous about it!
Well because.... da, dadda, da, da, da, DA!
I've made some savings for us!

Delivery UK: 2-5 working days (couriers vary)Delivery Everywhere Else: 7-15 working days
I do offer expedited and signed for services;
UK Special Delivery is +£5.00 (usually 24 hours after shipping).
International signed for is +£5.00 (7-15 working days after shipping).
These costs reflect what I am charged by Royal Mail (or couriers) for their services and the cost of packaging. Royal Mail (couriers) charge based on weight, value (insurance for higher priced orders) and now several size levels. In some cases orders may go out in a number of packages to keep within prices. These orders will be notified of this where possible.
Shipping days are: Wednesday and Saturday before 9am, so please make your order before 12pm (lunch time) the working day before these dispatch days. This will give me time to cut, pack and complete the Royal Mail paperwork for your order.
So what are the big changes?
Let's break it down starting with the UK;
- Flat Rate shipping for up to 2kg, instead of up to 1kg from last year. I have maintained last year's rate by switching to parcel post... it can take a day longer, but with careful planning before you order, this will not effect you at all.
- A better starting rate... last year I had to price starting at up to 100g only. Now I can reach 250g for the same price. As many of you wish to buy 2 skeins of yarn at a time, this has made a massive saving.
- A slower increase for the remaining prices... prices have gone up by about 5-10p per level of weight. This is a much slower compared to almost 50p in some cases last year.
Remember if you order with a friend, you can both save on shipping!
How have I made these changes?
Well first of all a big, big thank you to all of you who answered my survey. I took every comment and entry seriously. I was then able to work with my Royal Mail account manager to work on a new set of prices that make much better reading than years past.
