Well I'm really pleased to say that I finished the shawl!
My colour line up;
Here's the shawl fresh off the needles and unblocked.
Here's also where I need to make a further confession... I have some puckering, which is going to severely affect my efforts to block this shawl.
They are exactly at the point in section one where I had too many stitches... D'oh! [head desk]
Dearest Stephen I do apologise, I realise now that I should trust your pattern and stitch count to the letter, if I need 'x' amount of stitches and don't have them, then I need to tink back and correct my mistake.... I'm sorry.
The puckering means that I will not get a flat triangle (I'll show you more in my next podcast (early April 2016), but it does lie flatter if I fold it in half along the spine.
So as I couldn't traditionally wet block the shawl I opted for a steam block allowing the shawl to fall in half.
I am so pleased!
You know what? I might actually wear orange now!
Thank you to everyone who joined in the Ravelry craft along... you have until the end of the month to post your project photos. I can't say how delighted I am that many of you joined in with challenges of your own. As usual I have learned a lot from you.
