Design sketching for me is one of the most important things... it doesn't matter what your drawing skills are your sketching should have three distinct things;
- an idea of scale against the body and how it fits the body, especially if it is a garment.
- an idea of schematics (what it looks like flat with measurements.)
- an idea of fabric/knit design/pattern.
Above you can see I have done all of these so far... although I'm obscuring dimensions for obvious reasons!
I've also given you an indication of the colours I intend to use (Gunmetal, Pewter and Rose from my shop)... I'll take a better picture of these next time when I start talking about designing my pattern and yarn choice.
