In our introduction post I briefly mentioned yarn and equipment without actually having an in depth discussion about it. Today I thought we'd have a closer look.
So I'm going to start with the equipment that the lovely Knitpro sent for review;
I have a set of the new Trendz fixed circulars in size 4mm (80cm cord), a set of Symfonie fixed circulars in size 2.75mm (80cm cord), a set of Knit Blockers (new product) and a box of T Pins. I haven't used these products before, so at the end of this series I aim to give a full review.
What I would like from these pieces of equipment are; reliability, ease of use and fit for purpose. Knitpro are very easy to work with and having already had a relationship with their products, they made the obvious manufacturing choice for this experiment... as I say I will review these particular pieces later on. Here's my last review of their products.
For the yarn I am using a skein of a test base (something I am yet to release for the shop) and two skeins of my superwash base. I'm not going to reveal colours just yet... that will follow... what I can reveal at this stage is that each skein is a different colour and so this is a stripe study piece.
Mmmm... what will it be?!
You will have to wait until next time to find out more...
You can view the series so far here.
