I can't quite believe it's February already... the January price freeze came and went so quickly! Thank you to everyone who took advantage of my version of a January shop sale.
It's time now to mention the annual price increase info... now I have been as strict with my increasing as I can and absorbed some of the increases here at HQ. You will notice a few things have increases though;
- Ashford equipment.
- Hand Dyed Yarns now start at £13 (a 50p increase) per 100g. My Lux base managed to stay at £16.50. This increase is based on electric, water and fibre increases this past year.
- Hand Dyed Tops also see an increase at £1 per 100g... as my prices were so keen last year on these products I wasn't able to keep the increase to 50p as I'd hoped.
It's short and sweet this time around... things like Batts and Merino I managed to hold my prices for another year.
With this in mind there are two other changes I want to make you aware of (which I mentioned in my podcast - ep. 48). These are;
- Shop Updates - I will now be making a monthly update only. I may choose to split the product to mention weekly here on the blog, but everything will appear early on in the month over on the website.
- Hand Dyed Fibre and Yarn - I now dye to order (although there may be very limited and occasional 'in stock' additions either under a limited edition category or the sale are of the site). I have made this decision based solely on the vast choice of colour vs. base options. The dye connotations are staggering if you add them up and so I'd rather not hold that much stock! My turn around times are usually 1 week, so there is a little delay only between pre orders and 'in stock' shipping times.
I know you all understand where I am coming from with these changes, so I will leave our discussion here for today and get back to creating something new for you.
Thank you so much for your unwavering support.
Have a wonderful day... Sara x
