Spring Summer 2013 Knitwear Trends

Here are some top trend tips for this coming Spring. Let's start with colour;

Spring Summer is always a great excuse for bold geometrics and floral prints... use them in delicate, or vivid tones to make you own look. So for Pattern think paintery, or intricate geometrics (Kaffe Fasset, or Missoni anyone?!)

Ombre is also a great way to make use of colour and easily done in gradient yarns, or by hand painting your natural knits.

For shapes think layering and drape. So delicate cardigans and swing front cardigans, lace shawls and maybe even a lightweight knit dress... Keep it simple and form flattering, keeping teh eye trained on detail and colour. Stitches in knitwear... if you don't want to keep it simple with lightweight stockinette and striping, consider lace. This is a wonderful example of how to create lace garments that work with a trend;
