I found this on Design Trust where they tell us;
wow o.0 - After almost 5 years of knitting the rabbit found its final place in the italian alps (close to Cuneo). It waits there to be visited by you. You might even take your time or check back every now and then as the rabbit will wait for you 20 years from now on
I can't imagine how many knitting hours in 5 years this took and how much planning it took in terms of shaping, scale and yarn purchasing! What an awesome piece!
Surely projects like this cross the boundaries from crafts (a practical artform), into 'true' gallery based art. The types that usually encompass painting, traditional sculpture, etc. Please note that I'm using inverted commas there to highlight the controversial 'what is art' discussion.
Please share this post on all of your social networks... I'd love to see and hear people's feedback re: crafts vs art and how knitting fits in.
