Woolly Weekend at Kelly House

Wow, what a wonderful weekend! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to see the House, the fiberistas and of course to everyone who made time to say 'Hi' and pick up something fluffy from me... as usual you guys make me smile so much!

We had contrasting weather on both days, Sunday being much brighter than the Saturday. It didn't stop us enjoying the beauty of Kelly House... www.kellyhouse.co.uk

This ancestral stately home is a true jewel in the South West and one we should all support. Sophia and her team of family and friends were very welcoming and happily talked to us about the history that surrounds Kelly House. I hear that there will be B&B available soon and a Murder Mystery Dinner is open for bookings (end October meal). I'm very tempted on both counts and you should be too! The tea room is an awesome Jacobean space, with roaring fire and cream teas.

I included a picture of me on the stall... Notice I'm looking less tired this time around. Yep, finally making headway on those panic attacks!

I got a little time to start spinning a batt... I think I might ply it against a stormy blue solid colour.

I included a picture of one of my customers wearing her shawl, spun from my blended top in colour Blackberry Bush... Looks really great with beads!

Outside we were treated to Mexican food and a display from a local friend of the family. The Antarctic gear has been used on a recent trip and highlights how important wool is in insulation for these adventurers.

We had a great weekend and what a wonderful start to British Wool Week.

Bye for now, Sara x Www.sarastexturecrafts.com
