Last night I got an hour in front of the telly and so with nothing really to watch, I picked up my spindle...

I'm always amazed at how some of the most striking or heady mix of hand dyed colours on the roving can be pulled out and made more subtle as you spin. Especially if you hand paint those colours in small patches, rather than in stripes. It's one of the things I enjoy about learning to work with dyes.
I'm going to ply the dyed roving single against it's original base coloured single (I've been 'over-dyeing' here) and see how that comes out. If it works then I will have a new idea for products in the shop.
When I get some time I will show you some of the limited edition yarns I've been spinning for my new shop range (coming soon).
Happy Friday everyone!
Bye for now,

What beautiful yarns! I've known how to crochet for about 35 years but am now teaching myself how to knit. I bought a book called Prayer Shawls which are all knitted and I can't wait to try one of the simpler patterns.
Oh thank you so much! Let me know how you get on with yoru knitting... I always love seeing other people's work. Sx
