Woolfest!
I will be showing at Woolfest this week from Friday the 26th of June to Saturday the 27th, in between this time I have actioned the following services from each of my stores.
Crafts Supply Store – 23rd June – 28th June… HOLIDAY ONLY. Purchases can be made and paid for. These will be processed and shipped on my return. If you wish to send payment via post during this time, please can I ask you to hold of until my return to save accidental postal losses.
Etsy Boutique – 22nd June 2009 – 28th June… CLOSED and purchases cannot be made.
DaWanda Boutique – 22nd June 2009 – 28th June… HOLIDAY ONLY. Purchases can be made, but can only be processed and paid for on my return.
Not on the High Street Boutique – 22nd June 2009 – 3rd July… CLOSED and purchases cannot be made.
Please note that each store has slightly different dates. Unfortunately this is unavoidable due to the way each of the order processing systems work.

Taking Form and Recycling!
Guess who's been in the garden then?!
I couldn't resist... the seedlings have sprouted and grown enough for me to plant out, so I have 9 new alpine strawberry plants, with beetroot, baby carrots and cabbage seedlings on the wall. Oh and I recycled a broken plastic container and planted some bedding plants... Lobelia 'sapphire' and Alyssum 'Easter Bonnet'. I needed some flowers!
Slowly taking shape... still some work to do when the seedlings grow on again... loving every minute!

Felted Vessel Challenge
This is my felted vessel for the Working with Felt challenge... I started with Baby Pink Merino which you can find in the supply shop at http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Saras-Texture-Crafts and then finished with an overlay of Blue Violet Merino (also from my supply shop).
Now I just need D to buy me some flowers!

Woolfest is Coming!
Friday 26th and Saturday 27th June 2009 – WOOLFEST
A festival of fibre from the live animal to the felted bag, or knitted jumper!
Times: 10 - 5pm
Sara’s Texture Crafts will be at stall number H162
Location: Mitchell’s Livestock Centre, Cockermouth, Cumbria
Ticket price: £6 for Adults and Free for Children. No tickets in advance, you just turn up and pay on the door! Refreshments and WC available.
I won't be hosting a workshop, but I will be demonstrating when I can.

Watching the Garden grow!
It's always slow progress and while I know I should really wait... I just can't help being impatient... I'm out there about 5 times a day... just checking!!
Here's some piccies...
Here's my 'Crazy Daisy' a beautiful double headed pink daisy.
This was supposed to be a 'purple Ageratum', but is more of a pink. I had no idea what it was called when I bought it... I said, 'One of those please'. The lady asked me for it's name and I said... 'No, idea... the one that looks like a carpet of felted bobbles... and is it obvious I'm new to gardening?!' We did chuckle... bless her, I think she thought I was mad!
I have some Thyme (smells like English Sunday Roasts!) and 'Starburst' Pinks.
Alpine Strawberries... Mmmm.
Oh and these are my runner beans... French and English, living in harmony, curling around their canes!
